Joel works closely with clients as a Senior Portfolio Manager, managing discretionary investment portfolios for a significant base of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families across Canada.

Earlier in his career, Joel was an Analyst at Canadian Mortgage Capital Corporation, where he underwrote commercial real estate financing opportunities and arranged placements with third-party Canadian financial institutions.

He joined KJ Harrison Investors at its inception in 2002 and, over more than two decades, played a key role in building the firm from $80 million to $2.3 billion in assets under management. Appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2014, Joel led the firm through a period of sustained growth, culminating in its sale to Harbourfront Wealth. He also helped lead the strategic combination, advancing the vision of building one of Canada’s most relevant private client teams.

Joel serves on the Board of Whitehall Apartments Incorporated and GraceMed. In the community, he is a committed supporter of Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and a former board member of the Oakville Hospital Foundation.

Outside of investing, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children, and pursuing his favorite sports—squash, tennis, padel, and skiing.
