Reza Samahin is a Senior Portfolio Manager who manages the KJH Technology & Growth Fund. He focuses on investing in best-of-breed businesses, including global technology companies. In today’s rapidly evolving and innovation-driven market cycle, his role is particularly relevant, as he brings a deep understanding of how technological change shapes industries, disrupts incumbents and creates long-term investment opportunities. Reza combines this perspective with a disciplined investment framework, carefully balancing growth potential with risk management to navigate periods of volatility and transformation.

Reza has over 20 years of combined experience across capital markets and the technology industry. Prior to joining KJ Harrison Investors in 2011, he was a Portfolio Manager at Natcan Investment Management Ltd. and Altamira Management Ltd.

Earlier in his career, Reza built a strong technical foundation as a Professional Engineer, holding management roles at Amdocs Inc., Algorithmics Ltd. and IBM Labs. This unique combination of hands-on industry experience and investment expertise allows him to assess emerging technologies with both strategic insight and technical rigor.

Reza received a Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering Science) from the University of Toronto and is a CFA® charterholder. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and adult son.
